Bấy lâu những cây bút trẻ của Ban Mai Hồng chỉ đọc thầm những ngày cuối tuần, mà không viết hay dịch được bài do áp lực của học hành và thi cử. Sau giải khuyến khích kỳ thi Học Sinh Giỏi Quốc Gia Môn Tiếng Anh năm học vừa qua, Đình Nguyên quyết tâm cao hơn ở năm học lớp 12 này.
Sau hai vòng thi căng thẳng chọn đội tuyển dự thi môn Tiếng Anh của trường THPT chuyên Nguyễn Du với thứ hạng nhì trong bộ ba Trà My, Đình Nguyên, Giang Thư( thêm Nhật Oanh lớp 11 chuyên Anh đồng hạng 3 ), Đình Nguyên gửi tặng những ca khúc đem lại những phút thư giãn cho các bạn trẻ yêu âm nhạc và The Voice .
Peter Gene Hernandez (sinh 8 tháng 10 năm 1985), được biết đến với nghệ danh Bruno Mars, là một ca sĩ-nhạc sĩ và nhà sản xuất thu âm người Mỹ. Mars lớn lên trong một gia đình nghệ sĩ ở Honolulu, Hawaii và anh đã bắt đầu ca hát từ khi còn nhỏ. Một chương trình TV đang rất nổi tiếng và được ưa chuộng ở Mỹ hiện nay mang tên “Glee”, nội dung không như High School Musical càng về sau càng nhảm nhí, những ca khúc trong Glee thì tuyệt vời. Tất cả các ca khúc thể hiện trong Glee đều là các bản hit và đều được các diễn viên thể hiện khá tuyệt vời. Mỗi tuần sau khi kết thúc 1 episode của Glee, các ca khúc của nó lại được đưa lên iTunes cho mọi người download
Glee là loạt phim truyền hình tâm lý hài kết hợp thể loại nhạc kịch được phát sóng trên kênh Fox tại Hoa Kì và trên kênh Star World tại Châu Á. Bộ phim xoay quanh về một dàn hợp xướng có tên là “New Directions” tại trường trung học William McKinley ở Lima, Ohio.
Những bài hát được chọn cho bộ phim có thiên hướng cân bằng giữa những giai điệu truyền thống và bài hát đang nổi tiếng ngày nay.Âm nhạc của Glee được cho là khá thành công khi đã bán được hơn bảy triệu bản trên mạng.

Secondhand Serenade là một ban nhạc Rock, do tay chơi guitar kiêm ca sĩ John Vesely lãnh đạo nhóm. Ban nhạc bắt đầu năm 2004 tại California, Mỹ. John Vesely đã phát hành được 3 album nhạc dưới tên Secondhand Serenade: Awake in 2007, A Twist in My Story in 2008 and Hear Me Now trong năm 2010.
Album đầu tay ra mắt sử dụng kỹ thuật ghi âm multi tracking ( thu âm các nguồn âm thanh riêng lẽ trên đĩa rồi tổng hợp lại để tạo nên tiếng tăm như một ban nhạc chuyên dụng kỹ thuật. Tuy nhiên đĩa thứ hai của họ lại khác hẳn, dùng một ban nhạc và giàn nhạc chính thống để tạo ra chất lượng âm thanh hoàn hảo hơn.

Lễ Giáng sinh, còn được gọi là lễ Thiên Chúa giáng sinh, Noel, Christmas hay Xmas (từ tiếng Pháp Noël, là viết tắt từ gốc Emmanuel, nghĩa là “Thiên Chúa ở cùng chúng ta”) là một ngày lễ kỷ niệm ngày Chúa Giê-su thành Nazareth sinh ra đời của phần lớn người Cơ Đốc giáo. Họ tin là Giê-su được sinh tại Bethlehem thuộc tỉnh Judea của nước Do Thái(Israel), lúc bấy giờ đang dưới quyền thống trị của Đế quốc La Mã giữa năm 6 TCN và năm 6. Một số nước ăn mừng ngày này vào 25 tháng 12, một số nước lại vào tối ngày 24 tháng 12. Theo Công giáo Rôma, lễ chính thức là ngày 25 tháng 12 còn gọi là “lễ chính ngày”, còn lễ đêm 24 tháng 12 gọi là “lễ vọng”. Dù vậy, lễ đêm 24 tháng 12 thường thu hút tin đồ tham dự nhiều hơn. Tên gọi Chữ Christmas gồm có chữ Christ và Mas. Chữ Christ (Đấng chịu sức dầu) là tước vị của Đức Giêsu. Chữ Mas là chữ viết tắt của Mass (thánh lễ). Khi chữ Christ và Mas viết liền thành ra chữ Christmas. Christmas có nghĩa là ngày lễ của Đấng Christ, tức là ngày lễ Giáng sinh của Đức Giêsu.
Biểu tượng Giáng sinh và ý nghĩa
Vòng lá mùa vọng
Vòng lá mùa vọng là vòng tròn kết bằng cành lá xanh thường được đặt trên bàn hay treo lên cao để mọi người trông thấy. Cây xanh thường được trang hoàng trong các bữa tiệc của dịp Đông chí – dấu hiệu của mùa đông sắp kết thúc. Trên vòng lá đặt 4 cây nến. Tục lệ này khởi xướng bởi các tín hữu Pháo Lutheran ở Đức vào thế kỷ 16 để nói lên sự giao tranh giữa ánh sáng và bóng tối. Vòng lá có hình tròn nói lên tính cách vĩnh hằng và tình yêu thương vô tận của Thiên Chúa. Màu xanh lá nói lên hi vọng rằng Đấng Cứu Thế sẽ đến cứu con người. 4 cây nến bao gồm ba cây màu tím – màu của Mùa Vọng, cây thứ 4 là màu hồng, là màu của Chúa Nhật thứ Ba mùa Vọng, hay còn gọi là Chúa Nhật Vui mừng.
Thiệp Giáng sinh
Bắt nguồn từ năm 1843 khi ông Henry Cole, một thương gia giàu có nước Anh, đã nhờ Horsley, một họa sỹ ở London, thiết kế một tấm thiệp thật đẹp để tặng bạn bè. Vào Noel năm đó, Horsley trình làng tấm thiệp đầu tiên trên thế giới và sau đó nó đã in ra 1000 bản. Thiệp Giáng sinh nhanh chóng bùng phát và trở thành mốt thịnh hành ở Anh trong suốt 10 năm kể từ khi Chính phủ Anh thông qua đạo luật năm 1846 cho phép bất kì người dân nào gửi thư đến bất kỳ nơi nào với giá rẻ. Không lâu sau, trào lưu này du nhập sang Đức và tới 30 năm sau người Mỹ mới chấp nhận nó.
Quà Giáng sinh Những món quà biểu lộ tình yêu của mọi người với gia đình và bè bạn. Đối với một số người, những món quà Giáng Sinh còn có một ý nghĩa tín ngưỡng sâu sắc. Đó là lễ kỷ niệm ngày sinh của Chúa Giê-su, món quà mà Thiên chúa đã ban tặng cho con người. Khi Chúa Giê-su cất tiếng khóc chào đời tại Bethlehem trong một cái máng cỏ, ba vị vua phương Đông đã đến để bày tỏ sự thành kính của mình. Họ mang đến ba món quà quý giá, đó là vàng, trầm hương và mộc dược. Vàng tượng trưng Chúa Giêsu là vua ( tức con Chúa Cha – Vua Nước Trời), trầm hương tượng trưng Giê-su là Thiên Chúa và mộc dược biểu hiện hình ảnh Giê-su bị đóng đinh trên cây thánh giá hay nói rõ hơn là sự chịu chết của Chúa Giêsu để cứu chuộc nhân loại. Ba vị vua rất giàu có nhưng những người dân nghèo hầu như chẳng có tài sản cũng mang đến bất cứ những gì họ có thể để tỏ lòng thành kính với Chúa Hài đồng. Những người chăn cừu tặng Giê-su hoa quả và những món đồ chơi nhỏ do chính họ tạo ra. Ông già Nô-en thường cưỡi xe tuần lộc trên trời, đến nhà có cây thông giáng sinh và leo qua ống khói để đem đến những món quà cho các em nhỏ đang ngủ và thường để quà trong những chiếc tất.
Giáng sinh ở Việt Nam Ngày nay, ở Việt Nam, dù không chính thức nhưng Giáng sinh dần dần được coi như một ngày lễ chung, thường được tổ chức vào tối 24 và kéo sang ngày 25 tháng 12. Trong những ngày này, cây thông Nô-en được trang trí ở nhiều nơi bằng cây thật (thường là thông ba lá hoặc thông mã vĩ) hay thông nhân tạo làm bằng nhựa, không phải cây thông như ở các nước phương tây thường là họ Bách tán. Trên cây, người ta thường treo các đồ trang trí nhiều loại nhưng thường có những cặp chuông, dây giả tuyết, những chiếc ủng, các gói quà tượng trưng và đèn trang trí giống như các nước phương Tây…
Lễ Giáng sinh ở Việt Nam là một dịp sinh hoạt văn hóa cộng đồng nhộn nhịp, những đôi tình nhân âu yếm tặng quà cho nhau, trẻ em háo hức chờ sự xuất hiện của Santa, gia đình bè bạn rủ nhau hội hè, yến tiệc, hát karaoke. Người Việt Nam rất thích thú các ca khúc Giáng sinh, đặc biệt là Feliz Navidad.

WHO DON’T HAVE FRIENDS ?
Human beings are social creatures and have always valued the importance of friends in their lives. To celebrate this noble feeling it was deemed fit to have a day dedicated to friends and friendship. Accordingly, first Sunday of August was declared as a holiday in US in honor of friends by a Proclamation made by US Congress in 1935. Since then, World Friendship Day is being celebrated every year on the first Sunday in the month of August.
This beautiful idea of celebrating Friendship Day was joyfully accepted by several other countries across the world. And today, many countries including India, celebrate the first Sunday of August as Friendship Day every year. Celebrating Friendship Day in a traditional manner, people meet their friends and exchange cards and flowers to honor their friends. Many social and cultural organizations also celebrate the occasion and mark Friendship Day by hosting programs and get together.

Vào tháng 11 năm 1993, Adams tung ra album So Far So Good với bài hát Please Forgive Me, bài hát là sự cộng tác giữa Adams/Lange.
